Ground Coupling Systems Design
A typical ground water-source heat pump installation consists of:
- A water-source heat pump,
- A heat pump desuperheater coupled to a conventional hot water tank,
- A loop circulating pump system with insulated lines to circulate water or an
anti-freeze solution through the heat pump and ground heat exchanger coils,
- A supply and return air duct system,
- Optional plenum heater for winter supplemental or emergency heating,
- A condensate drain line, and
- An accessible air filter assembly.
